Three fully planned days with two nights at Princenhof. A unique spot on the water, in the middle of Alde Feanen National Park. Experience pure Frisian hospitality with views of the beautiful landscape. On Monday and Tuesday, we will also have dinner here and breakfast in the mornings.

Day 1: We’ll set off on Monday morning, and our first stop will be in Den Oever at the restaurant De Zingende Wieler. There, we’ll take a coffee/tea break with some treats. We then continue on to Leeuwarden, where we’ll visit “Bij ons in de brouwerij” for a midday snack and a tour on the City Train. If there’s time left over, you’ll be free to explore the area. We’ll end the day with dinner at the beautiful Princenhof.

Day 2: Tuesday is entirely dedicated to a Frisian theme. The day begins at the Skûtsjemuseum, where we’ll take a guided tour and watch a blacksmith’s demonstration. We’ll also enjoy a coffee or tea break there with some Frisian orange cake. Afterward, we’ll head to the boat behind the museum for a 3.5-hour cruise with lunch on board.

Day 3: On Wednesday, we’ll find ourselves surrounded by beautiful tropical birds at Taman Indonesia while enjoying a cup of coffee and spekkoek. This park is dedicated to protecting Indonesia’s native wildlife. As a result, there are many unique animals to see that we wouldn’t normally encounter in other parks.

From the Bengal tiger cat to the blue-tongued skink, we continue to our final stop, Brasserie Harderwold. Here we will be served a three-course menu with schnitzel. An atmospheric location in the heart of Harderwold, where, weather permitting, we can sit on the spacious terrace overlooking the water. At 3:30 p.m., we will conclude our trip and head home.
